A-Level Clubs

Excuse My French clubs offer special after school classes for A-level students who are about to take their exams. Most exam boards require the students to have an extensive knowledge of some French films (such as La Haine by Kassovitz and Amelie by Jeunet ) and books (for example L'etranger by Camus and Manon des Sources by Pagnol). A-level students are expected to be thoroughly familiar with these French classics in order to be able to discuss and analyse some of their main concepts.

Our A-Level Film Club is an exciting and alternative way for students to discuss and reflect on the films with their peers and improve their knowledge about their content. These classes are hosted by a French native tutor who holds a Bachelor degree in Film and Television Production. This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to gain confidence in speaking French, broadening their vocabulary in a specific field and preparing them for their final exam by answering and discussing typical A-level questions.

We can also arrange an A-Level Book Club for your school in order to enable the students to discuss the most important topics and share their thoughts on the studied books. Our classes are run by a native French expert in French literature and holder of a French literary baccalaureate. Our tutor's enthusiasm for literature will spark the curiosity and interest of the students. They will help students to develop their skills of literary analysis and encourage independant thinking.

All our tutors are DBS checked.

If you are a school and have some special requirements, please get in touch with us to discuss how we can tailor our services to the needs of your students: info.excusemyfrench@gmail.com
